OSDP Bench

Tool for configuring and troubleshooting OSDP devices

Installing

OSDP Bench is built for both Windows 10/11 and Android devices.

The tool requires a USB->RS-485 adapter to communicate to the OSDP device. Any adapter should work without issue. I’ve had good results using the DTech converter from Amazon. Make sure to load the Windows device drivers, if the adapter doesn’t appear in the drop down list of serial ports. Some USB converter models output 5V of power that can be used to power the reader. I would not recommend using the power of the USB converter. The output voltage may not be enough for the reader and wiring incorrectly will cause damage to the USB port.
